The magazine is on its second issue and i was lucky enough to be part of the team creating the front cover of this addition.
We wanted to create an image that was eye catching and I'm really pleased with the result. You can see that it has all came together from the Photography Sane Seven, Make UP Lucy Mckeown, Nails Elli Kershaw, Stylist Jurga Skeiryte, Model Adjoin Mensah, BTS photography Al Man and Hair By Me
Get The LOOK : The image was a real beauty shot but i still wanted to get the hair in, its simple but effective. The model has afro hair so i couldn't wet her own hair onto the face as it would just spring up bouncing back to its natural shape. For the look i pulled her hair back into a low bun and placed hair wefts at the front of the head. I then layered upon layered some Loreal Techni Gel over the extension hair and combed it onto the face.
For the second look i wanted it to look slightly tribal but fun so i coloured some platinum hair peices from beauty works with some new Crazy Colours i received from Salon International. Then mixed the colourful wefts with a natural colour 1B to make the ponytail blend in with the models hair. often for photo shoots i mostly work with added hair as it always apears better on camera, it helps with hair density, length and colour.
Its always a proud feeling when i see my work in print, a lot of hard work goes in to creating a great image. You cannot do it without the team that you work with, so last but not least i will leave you with a Behind The Scenes video from the shoot.
