New Work

Springs Ahead

When creating the hair for this editorial i wanted the images to flow but wanted the hair to stand out  as beautiful but strong. For the image on the left i prepped Rachel's hair using Loreal Techni Pli blow dried the hair in the direction i wanted it to fall. I then tonged the hair using the ghd Curve back off the face and brushed out into a soft wave.

On the right this hair was inspired by Guido's Valentino Bubble Pony Tail. For this look hair was fixed into a centre parting, i then secured 24 inch hair extensions from www.beautyworksonline.com each bubble was tightened using hat elastic. I find using elastic best for ensuring the ponytail is tight and secure, you can find this in most haberdashery stores or in the likes on John Lewis. you can buy it in most colours but i have chosen black as it works well with the models hair.

When creating this look i wanted minimal volume around the root area, hair was blow dried into a strong centre parting and then controlled using the ghd eclipse styler. This way i didn't compremise on the condition, adding extra shine and smoothness to the over all image.

The final looks where quick changes to show how easy it is to move the shoot in a different direction with the same model but different hair. I often use hair peices on photo shoots as time is limited with studio hire, budgets and other deciding factors. At least with a wig you can prep it before the shoot so there is no time wasting. Both of the hair piece i had cut prior to shooting this collection, you can find the styles here online from www.annabelleswigs.co.uk they have a great selection of wigs and hair pieces.

I would like to thank the team for making this collaboration work!
